Many labs claim to be "great labs". But to walk the talk we believe the formula for success is complementing our acquired knowledge and skill with world class materials and equipment. That is why we equip every technician in our lab with the finest Meji sterio Microscopes from Japan and top of the line Kavo hand pieces from Germany. We combine this with semi-adjustable articulators in most brands including Panadent, Hannau, Denar, Kave, Protar, Artex, and Sam 3.
Our scan design center is fantastic. It utilizes a 42" monitor for enlarging teeth to over a foot to enable our design engineer to see great detail. The milling is done with 5 axis percision milling. We design every case with biological and bio-mechanical factors being considered for best results.
At Second Nature over 95% of our implant work is custom designed using in lab Cad-Cam technology. The reason for this being that all situations are different and need to be customized. Of course we are able to use stock abutments upon request, however, the benefits of custom design and the minimal cost difference justify the solution. Bio-mechanics, hard and soft tissue, as well as occlusion are all carefully incorporated into our design and fabrications. There are only two materials on the globe which tissue attaches to and are completely biocompatable; those 2 materials are zirconia and titanium. Cast custom abutments using noble alloys do not have this advantage.
With cases involving non routine situations for the esthetic zone we like to be involved at the pre-implant placement stage. Our involvement often could involve consultations, wax-up and surgical guides for implant placement.
The neccessary steps carefully planned are occlusal harmonization, hard and soft tissue considerations and last but never the least, aesthetics.
We have been serving dentists and patients successfully for over 25 years.
